Glass Grown Chlorella

glass grown chlorella is a fresh-water, single-celled green microalga that contains full spectrum, bioavailable and absorbable nutrients. It contains many antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber. Chlorella is also one of the richest known sources of chlorophyll giving it its characteristic deep green color.

ALGOMED chlorella is grown in glass tubes rather than open ponds to protect it from environmental contaminants that can cause bioaccumulation. Our process is fully controlled and super pure.

The cultivation of chlorella is carried out in glass containers. This allows for a completely closed system which prevents any contamination from external pollutants such as heavy metals or radiation. The water used for cultivation is pure spring water. This is tested regularly for heavy metals and pesticide residues.

In a series of experiments, the impact of Chlorella vulgaris on the growth of cucumber plants was investigated in hydroponics. Chlorella infusion increased the root dry mass of cucumber seedlings and also stimulated the photosynthesis of the plants. This positive effect is attributed to the presence of soluble sugars and soluble amino acids (particularly glycine) in the algae infusion.

It was also found that the morphological characteristics of the cells, which were determined by the Goryaev camera, are similar to those of authentic Chlorella vulgaris. In addition, the ability of this strain to accumulate carotenes was determined by analysing the cell wall material for the presence of lutein, astaxanthin and fucoxanthin.

The results of the experiment showed that the optimum growth conditions for Chlorella sp. NTCU-2 were the combination of high light intensity and CO2 concentration. This resulted in a specific productivity value of 0.9 g dw l-1 in 5 days for Chlorella and 1 g dw l-1 in 10 days for Oedogonium. The results also demonstrated the efficient utilization of CO2 in this culture by maintaining the optimum oxygen tension.

The bead mill is a versatile tool that can be used to mechanically disrupt microalgae. To assess its effectiveness as a biorefinery tool, the recovery of proteins, carbohydrates and lipids from Chlorella vulgaris was tested using bead milling and enzymatic hydrolysis. The results demonstrate that bead milling is a suitable method to disrupt the cell wall of microalgae and improve lipid fractionation.

A DYNO(r)-Mill KDL A with a separation gap of 0.2 mm and a grinding chamber volume of 75 mL was used for the cell disruption experiments. The bead mill was filled to 65% with 0.4 mm Y2O3 stabilized ZrO2 beads and operated in batch recirculation mode at 25 degC.

The first experiment investigated the release of intracellular proteins during bead milling. As shown in Fig. 1, the yield of soluble proteins was approximately 10% after half a minute of bead milling. The high contact surface of the zirconium beads with the cells caused a rapid break down of the protein structures.

The second experiment evaluated the effect of bead milling and enzymatic treatments on the recovery of proteins, carbohydrates and lipids. The results demonstrate that bead milling significantly improved the protein and carbohydrate recovery compared to a control sample without bead milling. In addition, enzymatic treatment with lipase enhanced the recovery of lipids and carbohydrates.

Chlorella can be a very nutrient dense superfood and it’s rich in protein, all of the essential amino acids, vitamins A, C, E, K and B6, minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium, phosphorus, chlorophyll, healthy omega 3 and carotenoids. This makes it an excellent detoxifier and a great energy booster.

The majority of commercial chlorella in the world is grown outside in outdoor ponds using a nutrient solution fed with dried baker’s yeast. This is a very easy way to grow algae, but the yeast fouls the culture water with carbon dioxide and it’s also hard to control. In addition, the yeast isn’t optimally nutritious and it’s very easy to crash a pond by overfeeding it with too much yeast.

In contrast, our Abyssea chlorella is grown in glass tubes with pure spring water to avoid environmental contamination (which is the main problem when growing Chlorella outside in open ponds). Because it’s cultivated under glass, the nutrition profile can be controlled fully from breeding through harvesting and drying to guarantee consistent quality.

When the chlorella has been harvested, it is dried at low temperatures to prevent heat-sensitive vitamins from being denatured. We also avoid grinding the chlorella to ensure that it maintains its natural cellular structure, which is what gives it its powerful nutritional benefits.

Chlorella is a green microalgae that contains all the essential amino acids. It also contains chlorophyll and other antioxidants. It has been shown to improve blood lipid levels, lower cholesterol, and improve insulin resistance. It can also help to reduce blood pressure, which decreases the risk of heart disease. Chlorella has also been shown to have detoxifying properties and may be able to bind to heavy metals in the body.

The company grows its chlorella in glass tubes, which ensures that it is protected from environmental contamination. The glass tubes allow it to absorb intense sunlight and nutrient-rich spring water. This allows the chlorella to be completely controlled from breeding to cultivation and processing, and it is free from many of the risks associated with other methods of production.

Another great feature of this product is that it contains organic chlorella powder. This means that it is grown and processed according to strict environmental standards. It is also vegan-friendly and gluten-free. The company has an excellent reputation and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Chlorella is a good source of iron, which is important for red blood cell production. It can help prevent anemia in people with low iron levels, especially pregnant women. It also contains a high amount of protein, vitamin B12, and essential fatty acids. It also has anti-aging benefits and can increase energy.
