Spider Gwen Cosplay

Gwen Stacy, aka Spider Gwen, aka Ghost-Spider, is a beloved character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some kids may recall her from Emma Stone’s roles in The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as Peter Parker’s (Andrew Garfield) love interest, but she’s also well-known as the spider-powered superhero from Miles Morales’ (Shameik Moore) world.

  1. Spider-Woman Suit

Gwen’s specialized suit is one of the most striking things about her character. The contrast of stark black, white, neon purple, and blue with a hooded mask and iconic spider emblem is instantly recognizable. It’s no wonder her outfit was an inspiration for so many cosplayers!

In addition to her web-slinging abilities, Jessica has superhuman strength, speed, and stamina; she can cling to surfaces like a spider and has far superior resistance to physical damage. She also has heightened senses and is an expert hand-to-hand combatant, private investigator, and markswoman, thanks to the extensive training she received from HYDRA and S.H.I.E.L.D.

Gwen’s specialized Spider-Woman suit looks different in each dimension she visits, but there are some key details that remain the same. To recreate her look, start with a form-fitting full body suit in red and add yellow or black details to replicate the iconic spider emblem and web pattern. Don’t forget the gloves and boots!

  1. Gwen’s School Uniform

Gwen attends Brooklyn Visions Academy, a special computer science school. Her uniform is a preppy sweater and skirt outfit which looks easy enough to replicate with basic pieces you probably already have in your closet. You can also add a backpack or a few textbooks for the full look.

Despite being a bit of a snob, Gwen is a pretty friendly villager who enjoys writing to players and having a chat around town. However, she can be rude at times as well. She’s mostly a loner by choice, but her snobbery is what makes her so fun to play as.

Hailee Steinfeld stars as Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman in the Into and Across series of Spider-Verse films, and she will star in an in development spin-off solo film. Dove Cameron, Laura Bailey, Ashley Johnson, Emily Tennant, and Catherine Luciani provide additional voice work for the character.

  1. Gwen’s Outdoor Schoolyard Outfit

Gwen is a hardworking and dedicated veterinary technician who loves wildlife. She’s not afraid to ruffle a few feathers if it means getting more habitat projects done.

Despite her commitment to helping animals, she doesn’t always have the best luck when it comes to relationships. She’s been a casualty of many failed relationships, including an unrequited crush on her classmate Peter Parker.

As part of her work at Brooklyn Visions Academy, she wears a preppy sweater and skirt outfit that’s easy to recreate at home. Layer a simple sweater over a button-down and pair with a mini skirt to get the look. Gwen also wears this outfit when she’s working outside on her job as a field wildlife specialist. This is where she first meets Miles Morales, and they quickly become friends. They often go on missions together.

  1. Gwen’s One-Sided Undercut

Gwen’s trademark haircut is a one-sided undercut with pink highlights. She wears it down when she is not in her Spider-Woman suit. Hailee Steinfeld wore this style when she first portrayed Gwen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Gwen is a trained drummer who once played in a punk rock band called Mary Jane’s. She is also a trained ballerina and uses her ballet skills in her fighting. She walks on her tiptoes and is very precise in her movements.

Gwen fought alongside the Spider-Gang and helped them defeat Kingpin and prevent him from damaging the Multiverse. She would later reunite with Peter Parker and Peni Parker, however she was forbidden from talking to Miles due to the Society warning her of his possible danger. Despite this, she bonded with Miles and even fell in love with him over the course of her time in the other universes. She would eventually return to her home dimension.Spider Gwen cosplay
