Pine Tree Hill is a luxury development in a highly sought-after area, close to natural greenery and a variety of eateries and cafés. The school is part of the Kershaw County School District. It is one of three new schools that opened with money from a $25 million bond referendum approved by voters in 2002. It is named after a pine forest that existed on the site when the land was sold to the district. The trail and the summit of Pine Tree Hill offer fantastic vistas. The trailhead is on High Pines Road, just past the Telekom Malaysia guest house. The trail is named for the pines that once lined it, but the peak itself was probably not known as Pine Tree Hill until a time later when the trail was extended.pinetree hill
