How to Get Clients to Book With Click and Trip

Click and Trip is a booking platform for business trips in the UK. It helps organisations reduce costs and complexity by delivering enterprise-grade management and personalised customer service.

This is TravelPerk’s third and largest acquisition since the pandemic hit — it also bought risk management startup Albatross in summer 2020 and US-based NexTravel this January. It will integrate the team and technology of Click Travel into its future-focused business travel platform.
Travellers

Travellers using Click and Trip can book a complete tour including flights, private guided tours of key attractions, accommodation (3 to 5 star) and additional services like airport parking and lounge passes. Each itinerary is unique and can be tailored to match your schedule, budget and activity preferences.

Click and Trip’s award-winning booking platform offers enterprise-grade management features and 24/7 customer support to reduce the cost and complexity of business travel. It combines world-class inventory and international market expertise with next-generation technology to deliver a 7-star experience for global business travellers.

TravelPerk has been on a shopping spree since the pandemic hit, picking up risk management startup Albatross in summer 2020 and US business travel provider NexTravel in January this year. Meir says that Click and Trip will operate as two separate platforms for now, but will eventually be fully integrated under the TravelPerk brand. The firm is also retaining the team in Birmingham, refusing to axe any staff and making the city a new hub for the company.
Travel Suppliers

Taking a thorough (but focused) approach to qualifying suppliers can help you craft itineraries that are as unique as your clients. Look for supplier partners that jive with your unique travel agency niche or mission, as well as their overall product offerings. Some will offer marketing dollars that can be used to promote trips among your client base – this is a great way to build loyalty and recurring revenue!

Lastly, consider how well their customer support department can support you during booking season. This is especially important if you will be handling the bookings. Is there a dedicated support line? Do they host webinars or have an active social media hivemind where agents can post questions/concerns?

Click and Trip also offers private guided holidays to destinations across the globe. These include flights, transfers, accomodation (3 to 5 star), and private guided tours of key sights. This is a great way for travellers to get the most out of their holiday.
Guided Holidays

The benefits of booking a guided holiday are clear; legal and financial protection, peace of mind and value for money. It also means that your customers don’t have to worry about organising their own trip as the entire itinerary is planned and arranged by the travel company.

Whether you offer fully independent self-guided tours, or smaller group guided holidays such as those offered by Flash Pack and Saga, these are perfect for travellers who want the hassle free experience of a guided holiday but do not enjoy travelling in large organized groups. These trips are cheaper than a full package guided tour, as you only pay for the local expert’s know-how and guidance essential for your trip.

For solo travellers, these types of small-group tours can also be an excellent way to meet new people and share experiences together. In fact, many travellers end up going on to visit their fellow guests again after their holiday!
Getting Started

Click and Trip helps travellers book flights, hotels, trains, car hire, airport parking, and other services. Its platform searches thousands of travel providers to find the best deals and widest choice of options, and takes care of expense reporting for business travellers.

The startup has been on a buying spree since the pandemic hit, picking up business trip booking startup Albatross in summer 2020 to bolster its resilience against COVID-19, and US-based NexTravel in January to help it expand into the North American market. But per Meir, Click Travel isn’t going to axe any staff, and will retain Birmingham as another UK base for its operations.

The service is available to anyone, from the solo entrepreneur needing a train ticket down to London to the workforce of large organisations with global travel requirements. You can sign up for a free trial here.
